Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Science, from Teerthanker Mahaveer University , is accepting interns interested in the field of Law, in the research area of Crime Scene Investigation.
This position is accepting Law students to understand the chain of custody of evidence, police procedure and forensic procedure. Under new criminal laws, a visit of the forensic team at a crime scene is mandatory, for identification, collection and preservation of physical evidence. If a lawyer understands the route of collection of evidence with all the tools that are normally avoided or broken due to practical problems, there may be some specialized questions from witnesses. For all these procedures, it is necessary to understand the working of a crime scene with high accuracy and depth of area to extract the mistakes done by investigating agencies or forensic team. The selected intern will work towards understanding the same and will contribute to learn about the basics of the testing mechanism in the forensic laboratories.
