About Internship

Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, from Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemical Engineering, in the research area of Advanced Separation Techniques.

This internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and scaling up advanced separation processes used in industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and food processing. Participants will explore cutting-edge separation techniques, including Membrane-based separations (Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration, Pervaporation), Adsorptive separations (Pressure Swing Adsorption, Ion Exchange, Chromatography), Hybrid separation processes (Reactive Distillation, Membrane Distillation, Extractive Distillation), Cryogenic and supercritical fluid separations (LNG separation, CO2 capture, Supercritical Extraction), and Novel intensification strategies (Molecular Sieves, Advanced Solvent Extraction, Azeotropic Distillation). Students will gain hands-on training in simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, COMSOL Multiphysics, and MATLAB for process modeling and optimization. The program will also include case studies on energy-efficient separation processes, sustainability, and cost-effective process designs.
