Professor from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, is accepting interns interested in the field of Political Science, in the research area of Public Administration & Policy.
This internship provides an introduction to public policy and governance, focusing on how governments function, how policies are designed and implemented, and how citizens engage with governance processes. Interns will engage with core ideas related to public administration, including the Indian administrative system, public service delivery, governance, bureaucracy, and decentralisation. The internship also involves analysing real-world case studies such as the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, along with participation in discussions and a capstone mini-project. Interns will gain a foundational understanding of governance and policymaking, and the ability to analyse public issues through the lens of public administration. Key Responsibilities will include: 1. Participating in readings, discussions, and weekly learning sessions 2. Studying basic concepts of public policy and governance 3. Analysing selected public policy case studies 4. Contributing to a mini-project related to governance or public administration
