Professor, Department of Political Science, from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, is accepting interns interested in the field of Political Science, in the research area of Public Administration & Policy.

This internship offers an engaging introduction to the world of public policy and governance. Through weekly sessions, readings, discussions, and mini-projects, students will explore how governments function, how policies are made and implemented, and how citizens can play an active role in shaping them. Interns will: Learn the basics of the Indian administrative system and public service delivery Understand key concepts like governance, bureaucracy, and decentralization Analyze case studies such as the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and others Participate in thought-provoking discussions and a capstone mini-project Learning Outcome: By the end of the program, students will have a foundational understanding of governance and policymaking, and will be able to critically assess real-life public issues through the lens of public administration. Candidates should have: Curiosity and Willingness to Learn – A keen interest in how society and government function. Basic Research Skills – Ability to find and read simple articles, news reports, or government websites. Critical Thinking – Openness to exploring different viewpoints and analyzing real-world issues. Communication Skills – Comfortable expressing ideas in writing or discussions (no public speaking required). Time Management – Ability to meet weekly tasks and submit small assignments on time.
