All candidates applying for internships and research opportunities through Konnifel first enroll themselves as Konnifel Members. This membership involves paying a lifetime fee, which makes them a part of Konnifel's community of students, early researchers, professors and universities. The fee amount and facilities differ on the basis of whether they are applying as a high-schooler or a college candidate. Once a Member, every Konnifel Member can apply for unlimited opportunities on the platform, receive guidance, recommendations and facilitation on their applications to maximise selection chances, and are notified of research guide materials.

Process

What is the selection process once the
application is created?

Step 1

Complete Common Application Process, including the Fundamental Research Skills Test.

Step 2

Select all the internships
where you want to apply

Step 3

Based on your filled details, your Common Application is created, consisting of your verified Konnifel Resume and your Score Report.

Step 4

Your Common Application will be forwarded to the professors of the internships that you’ve selected.

Step 5

Konnifel shall also match you with professors and personally recommend your application to maximise your chances of selection.

Step 6

You will be shortlisted for internships and interviews will be scheduled with professors. Konnifel’s Research Department will guide you in the interview preparation.

Step 7

Based on your interview performance, you get selected for the internship and receive an Offer Letter from the professor.

Step 8

Pre-internship session with Konnifel’s Research Department to guide selected interns in how to conduct themselves during the internship and make the most of it.

Step 9

Intern directly with the professor, co-authorship and presentation opportunities based on performance, and receive a completion certificate from the professor at the end.

Eligibility, Code of Conduct & Suspension of members

Who is eligible to be a Konnifel Member?

  • Candidates interested in research and internships.
  • High-school seniors (11th and 12th grade), High-School pass-outs, Gap-year students, Diploma students, undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, PhD scholars, working professionals.
  • Candidates under 11th Grade are NOT eligible for membership.

Code of Conduct

Candidates should note that membership at Konnifel is a serious endeavour.

Upon successfully obtaining membership, candidates are expected to uphold ethical conduct, display passion for pursuing research, and maintain punctuality with regards to appearing for interviews and submission of assignments.

Any form of misconduct during the course of the membership would be dealt with strictly by Konnifel, and Konnifel reserves the right to suspend a candidate’s membership in such scenarios.

Suspension of Membership:

Konnifel reserves the right to suspend the membership of any Konnifel member owing to violation of the code of conduct to be observed by all members. The suspension notice shall follow after 3 warnings of conduct, and will result in the cancellation of a candidate’s membership, barring them from the platform for a period of 6 months.

Should the suspension take place within the completion of one year of membership of candidate and without them having applied to any internships, the membership fee shall be refunded.
