Assistant Professor from Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu), is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Organic chemistry.
This internship involves hands-on research training in synthetic organic chemistry, photophysics, and catalysis. Interns will work on the synthesis and study of small organic compounds such as procarbenes. Interns will carry out characterisation using analytical techniques including NMR, HRMS, UV–Vis spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and photophysical studies. The work also includes applying synthesised procarbenes in photoredox catalysis reactions such as imination, C–H functionalisation, and trifluoromethylation. Key Responsibilities will include: 1. Synthesising small organic compounds such as procarbenes 2. Performing characterisation using spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques 3. Applying procarbenes in photoredox catalysis reactions 4. Analysing experimental results and preparing structured research reports
