Associate Professor from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering, in the research area of Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.
This internship offers research exposure at the intersection of public health, environmental science, and data-focused analysis. Interns will be involved in working with hospital-based data related to lung cancer cases to study links with indoor air pollution exposure. Interns will support the collection, structuring, and organisation of clinical and environmental datasets for analysis. The work focuses on examining environmental risk factors such as particulate matter and household smoke to support public health impact studies. Interns will gain exposure to public health research involving hospital-based data, environmental risk assessment, and dataset organisation for impact studies. Key Responsibilities will include: 1. Collecting relevant clinical and environmental data from hospital sources 2. Structuring and organising datasets for analysis 3. Assisting in the assessment of environmental risk factors (e.g., PM2.5, household smoke) 4. Supporting research activities related to public health impact studies
