Assistant Professor from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (SRMIST Chennai), is accepting candidates interested in the field of Mechanical Engineering, in the research area of Fire Safety and Fire Protection Engineering.
This internship provides students with an introductory exposure to fire science, fire safety, and experimental research. Students will learn about basic fire behaviour and flame spread through supervised laboratory activities, with a focus on understanding how fires spread under different conditions. The internship will also introduce students to laboratory safety, standard operating procedures, scientific observation, data recording, and basic interpretation of experimental results. The programme is designed to develop scientific curiosity, research skills, and an understanding of real-world applications of fire safety research.
