## Research Internship Description The selected intern will contribute to the research, design, and development of a **Publication Data Management Android Application** aimed at helping researchers, academicians, and institutions efficiently store, organize, and manage scholarly publications in a structured digital format. As part of the internship, the intern will research publication management systems, academic metadata standards, and user requirements to design a centralized platform for maintaining records of journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, patents, and other research outputs. The work will involve exploring methods for capturing publication details such as titles, authors, journal or conference information, publication year, DOI/ISBN, indexing status (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.), citation metrics, and associated documents or links. The intern will also contribute to designing features for categorizing publications based on publication type, research domain, or academic year to enable efficient retrieval and analysis. Additional research areas include advanced search and filtering mechanisms, automated sorting, report generation, export capabilities (PDF/Excel), cloud-based data storage, and the creation of academic profiles for institutional reporting, grant applications, and performance evaluation. Throughout the internship, the candidate will participate in requirement analysis, literature review, feature evaluation, documentation, testing, and usability assessment to ensure the application is intuitive, accurate, and user-friendly. The project aims to develop a reliable academic portfolio management solution that streamlines research documentation and enhances productivity for faculty members, research scholars, and academic institutions.
