Assistant Professor from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemical Engineering, in the research area of Catalysis and Reaction Engineering.
This internship offers research experience in materials science with a focus on applications in energy and environmental sustainability. Interns will work on the design, synthesis, and characterisation of advanced materials for use in energy conversion, energy storage, and environmental applications. The work may involve research on nanostructured catalysts, electrode materials for batteries, or porous materials used in gas capture and water purification. Interns may be involved in experimental and computational aspects of material design, depending on project requirements and background. The internship includes activities such as literature review, material preparation and processing, analysis using techniques like XRD, SEM, TEM, and spectroscopy, and performance testing of materials under relevant conditions. Interns will gain exposure to research methods used in materials design for energy and environmental applications, including material synthesis, characterisation, and analysis techniques. Key Responsibilities will include: 1. Conducting literature reviews related to materials for energy and environment 2. Assisting in preparation and processing of materials 3. Supporting characterisation using techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, and spectroscopy 4. Contributing to analysis and performance testing of materials
