Assistant Professor from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, is accepting candidates interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering, in the research area of Robotics & Autonomous Systems.
This research internship focuses on the development of an AI-agent-based autonomous Drover system that integrates the capabilities of a drone and a ground rover into a coordinated platform. The drone will support aerial surveillance, mapping, obstacle detection, and route identification, while the ground rover will perform navigation, inspection, data collection, and task execution based on coordinated decisions between the two systems. Interns will contribute to the design and development of intelligent autonomous systems using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Multi-Agent Systems, Computer Vision, and Edge AI. The work may involve hands-on experimentation with Python, ROS 2, OpenCV, YOLO, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, Arduino, GPS, LiDAR, IMU, SLAM, MQTT, LoRa, Gazebo, PX4, AirSim, and IoT technologies. The internship provides practical exposure to autonomous navigation, sensor integration, drone-rover coordination, simulation, perception, communication, and AI-driven decision-making.
