Assistant Professor, Department of Forestry, from SKUAST-KASHMIR, is accepting interns interested in the field of Environmental Science, in the research area of Climate & Climate Change.
This internship provides hands-on experience in the areas of forest ecology, biodiversity monitoring, and sustainable land use planning with a focus on climate resilience and community-based forest governance. Key Responsibilities: Participate in field visits and surveys related to forest health, plantation assessment, and biodiversity monitoring 1. Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of comprehensive field reports 2. Learn about community engagement models such as Joint Forest Management (JFM) 3.Gain exposure to policy frameworks, resource governance mechanisms, and the delivery of ecosystem services 4.Take part in seminars and interactive sessions on forest economics, climate adaptation, and livelihood enhancement strategies
