About Internship

Assistant Professor from Shoolini University, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Mechanical Engineering, in the research area of Industrial Engineering .

This internship focuses on the industrial engineering and systems optimization aspects of the agri-waste biomass supply chain, an emerging area critical to sustainable energy, circular economy, and rural development in India. The project emphasizes understanding how agricultural residues are collected, transported, processed, and utilized, and how optimization techniques can improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and policy alignment. During the internship, students will: 1. Conduct a systematic literature review on agri-waste biomass supply chains using peer-reviewed journals, reports, and policy documents. 2. Study and critically analyze optimization tools and techniques (such as linear programming, network optimization, and decision-making models) used by researchers in biomass supply chain management. 3. Examine existing biomass supply chain frameworks with specific attention to the Indian policy and operational context. 4. Identify research gaps, challenges, and limitations in current studies related to logistics, resource availability, cost, and sustainability. 5. Propose future research directions and improvement strategies tailored to India’s agri-biomass ecosystem. 6. Document findings in a structured research report under academic guidance. By the end of the internship, students will gain: 1. Strong exposure to operations research and industrial engineering tools applied to real-world sustainability problems. 2. Practical understanding of biomass supply chain design and optimization in the Indian scenario. 3. Skills in systematic literature review, gap analysis, and research synthesis. 4. Experience in policy-oriented and applied research relevant to renewable energy and agri-industrial systems. 5. Improved research writing and analytical thinking abilities applicable to higher studies or industry roles.
