Assistant Professor from Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu), is accepting candidates interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Photochemistry .
This internship focuses on the synthesis and study of transition metal coordination complexes containing terpyridine and other ligands for applications in photocatalysis. The work involves synthesizing and structurally characterizing these complexes using techniques such as NMR and HRMS, followed by investigating their ground- and excited-state properties through electrochemistry, UV-Vis absorption, and luminescence spectroscopy. The synthesized complexes will then be explored as photocatalysts for organic transformations, including C–C and C–N bond formation, as well as photocatalytic hydrogen (H?) production.
