Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, from Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu), is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Organic chemistry.
This internship provides hands-on research training in synthetic organic chemistry, photophysics, and catalysis. Interns will: 1. Perform the synthesis of small organic compounds such as procarbenes. 2. Conduct characterization using a range of analytical techniques, including NMR, HRMS, UV-Vis spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and photophysical studies. 3. Apply synthesized procarbenes in photoredox catalysis reactions, such as imination, C–H functionalization, and trifluoromethylation. 4. Analyze experimental outcomes and compile findings into a structured research report.
