About Internship

Assistant Professor from Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad (IIT Dharwad), is accepting interns interested in the field of Electrical Engineering, in the research area of Power Electronics .

This internship provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly growing field of power electronics, focusing on the design, analysis, and prototyping of modern power conversion systems. Through this internship, students will learn how power electronic circuits function, how they can be optimized, and how they are implemented in real-world applications. During the internship, students will work on tasks such as designing basic to intermediate-level power converter circuits, analyzing switching behavior, evaluating semiconductor devices, and studying converter topologies and resonant converters. Interns may also engage in component selection, simulation using software tools (such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, LTspice, etc.), and hands-on prototyping on hardware boards depending on availability. They will also contribute to test procedures, documentation of observations, and performance analysis of various power electronic modules. By the end of the internship, students will: 1. Develop a strong foundation in power electronics principles, converter topologies, and switching devices. 2. Gain experience in circuit simulation, analysis, and basic hardware prototyping. 3. Improve technical problem-solving abilities through real project work. 4. Build skills in documentation, interpretation of results, and engineering communication. 5. Acquire practical insights into industrial applications of power electronics across energy, mobility, and automation sectors.
