About Internship

Associate Professor from Shri Prince Maratha Boarding House's College of Architecture, Maharashtra, is accepting interns interested in the field of Architecture, in the research area of Sustainable Urban Design.

The selected interns will contribute to a research-driven project focused on water-sensitive urban design, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure in the Indian context. The internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of policy research, urban planning, and sustainability studies, with direct contributions to a forthcoming publication. Key Responsibilities: 1. Research Support: Conduct literature reviews on water-sensitive urban design, climate resilience, and sustainability policies in India and abroad; summarize government reports, academic papers, and case studies. 2. Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze statistical data, maps, and environmental indicators; develop visual tools such as tables, charts, and infographics. 3. Content Development: Draft and edit chapters, case study narratives, and policy recommendations; ensure proper referencing and adherence to academic standards. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in mapping stakeholders, scheduling expert interviews, and preparing questionnaires for consultations. 5. Project Management Support: Track project timelines, milestones, and organize datasets and references. 6. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with researchers, editors, and designers; support preparation of presentations for workshops and conferences. 7. Quality Control: Proofread, fact-check, and review drafts to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives. 8. Learning & Development: Stay updated on emerging trends in sustainable urban planning and actively participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions. Preferred Background: 1. Students from Architecture, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or related fields. 2. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. 3. Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, policy analysis, and urban studies is desirable.
