PhD Scholar from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), is accepting candidates interested in the field of Computer Science, in the research area of Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.

The research opportunity offers hands-on research experience in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Generative AI (GenAI), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve real-world challenges in precision agriculture and environmental sustainability. Interns will work with crop, soil, climate, geospatial, remote sensing, UAV/drone, and IoT datasets to develop intelligent, data-driven solutions for agricultural decision-making. The role involves data collection and preprocessing, exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, predictive modeling, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), explainable AI (XAI), and model evaluation using modern AI frameworks. Interns will also gain hands-on experience with GIS, Google Earth Engine (GEE), satellite imagery, cloud-based geospatial analytics, and GeoAI, while contributing to AI-driven research, scientific literature reviews, technical documentation, and research publications in the fields of digital agriculture and environmental data science.
