Scientist, Department of Division of Ecology&IPM, from Entomology Research Institute, is accepting interns interested in the field of Botany, in the research area of Taxonomy.
This opportunity is designed for highly motivated individuals interested in pursuing advanced research in entomological taxonomy and molecular systematics. The selected intern will work closely with the supervising professor on projects involving the morphological and molecular identification of insect species, contributing to biodiversity assessments and phylogenetic analysis. Key components include: Taxonomic classification and identification of insect specimens Molecular biology techniques such as DNA barcoding and phylogenetic tree construction Field data collection, curation, and lab-based research Preparation of scientific manuscripts and reports Eligibility: Postgraduate degree in Zoology/Life Sciences/Entomology or allied fields NET qualification is strongly preferred A strong interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in taxonomy and entomology
