Assistant Professor from Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of English Literature, in the research area of Crime Fiction.
This research project explores the intersection of youth, deviance, and identity in American fiction, tracing how literature reflects changing cultural attitudes toward adolescence and crime. Through selected novels, short stories, and literary criticism, the study examines how American authors represent adolescent offenders, not merely as lawbreakers but as symbols of moral crisis, psychological unrest, and social transformation. By engaging with interdisciplinary frameworks from literary studies, psychology, and cultural theory, this project invites students to critically analyze narratives of youth rebellion, guilt, and redemption, revealing how literature participates in conversations about justice, reform, and the shaping of moral consciousness.
