Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Engineering, from United Institute of Technology, Prayagraj, is accepting interns interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering, in the research area of Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.

This internship focuses on the application of data science and machine learning techniques to the classification of neurological diseases. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with medical datasets, including neuroimaging, patient clinical records, and genetic data, to develop models that can accurately identify and differentiate among various neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. During the internship, participants will be involved in the entire workflow of a typical machine learning project, starting from data preprocessing and exploratory data analysis to model training, validation, and performance evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on feature extraction from complex medical data, handling imbalanced datasets, and implementing algorithms such as Support Vector Machines, Random Forests, and deep learning models including CNNs for image-based diagnosis. Interns will collaborate with experts in neuroscience and AI to explore the biological significance of predictive features, contributing to both diagnostic accuracy and scientific understanding. Ethical considerations, patient data privacy, and the interpretability of machine learning models in clinical settings will also be addressed.
