About Internship

Principal Investigator & Director Professor from GB Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi, is accepting interns interested in the field of Biotechnology, in the research area of Molecular biology.

This internship focuses on the application of advanced molecular biology techniques in the study of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. GI cancers represent a major global health challenge, and molecular-level research plays a crucial role in understanding disease mechanisms, identifying biomarkers, and developing targeted therapies. The internship provides students with hands-on exposure to laboratory-based cancer research while emphasizing ethical conduct and biosafety practices. During the internship, students will actively support ongoing laboratory research by learning and assisting with core molecular biology techniques relevant to cancer studies. Under close supervision, interns will contribute to experimental workflows, sample processing, and data generation while adhering strictly to laboratory safety and research ethics guidelines. They will also be introduced to experimental troubleshooting, data interpretation, and scientific reasoning involved in translational cancer research. Interns will participate in analyzing experimental outcomes, documenting observations, and assisting in drafting sections of research manuscripts. Exposure to research planning, experimental validation, and scientific writing will help interns understand the complete research lifecycle—from hypothesis to publication. By the end of the internship, students will gain practical laboratory experience in molecular cancer research, develop a strong understanding of GI cancer biology, enhance their skills in data analysis and problem-solving, and acquire foundational experience in scientific writing and manuscript preparation.
