About Internship

Professor of Practice, Department of Mechanical Engineering, from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (SRMIST Chennai), is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemical Engineering, in the research area of Electrochemical Systems.

The internship focuses on practical exposure to electrochemical surface treatment processes in industrial settings. Only candidates residing nearby or able to commute daily are encouraged to apply. Research Topics: 1. Analysis of Zinc Electroplating and Passivation Parameters on the Inter-coat Adhesion and Corrosion Resistance of a Duplex Coating System 2. Optimization of Zinc Phosphate Process Parameters for Enhanced Powder Coating Adhesion and Corrosion Performance on Steel Substrates Interns will gain hands-on experience with process optimization, surface coating evaluation, corrosion testing, and electrochemical analysis, contributing to real-world manufacturing challenges in surface engineering and coating technologies.
