About Internship

Post Doctoral fellow , Department of Cbfr, from University of Evora, is accepting interns interested in the field of Finance, in the research area of Behavioural Finance .

This internship focuses on the behavioral finance domain, specifically examining how peer presence influences individual risk assessment and financial decision-making. The intern will contribute to an ongoing experimental study that aims to understand cognitive and emotional responses to investment choices under varying social conditions. As part of the research team, the intern will assist in designing experimental protocols using E-Prime software, supporting data collection through reaction time testing, and analyzing behavioral data to identify patterns in risk-taking behavior. The study simulates real-world financial scenarios where participants make investment choices with or without peer input, allowing analysis of framing effects, social influence, and decision biases. Key responsibilities include reviewing relevant literature in behavioral economics, helping prepare experimental stimuli (text, images, and financial decision tasks), and conducting pilot tests. The intern will also learn to use tools such as SPSS/R for data analysis and contribute to preparing research summaries and visualizations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to experimental design, behavioral modeling, and psychological measures in finance. It is ideal for candidates interested in academic research, financial behavior analytics, or behavioral consulting. By the end of the internship, the candidate will gain valuable insights into peer influence in financial contexts and develop skills essential for careers in behavioral finance and research-oriented roles.
