About Internship

Assistant Professor from Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) Kanpur, is accepting candidates interested in the field of Mechanical Engineering, in the research area of Fluid Mechanics and Flow Physics.

This internship introduces candidates to the mathematical and computational foundations of fluid mechanics through the numerical investigation of complex flow phenomena. Candidates will study the governing conservation equations of fluid motion, including the Navier–Stokes equations, and explore their numerical discretization and solution using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methodologies. The internship will emphasize computational modeling, mesh generation and independence studies, boundary-condition formulation, numerical stability, convergence analysis, and post-processing of simulation data. Candidates will validate computational results against analytical solutions, benchmark cases, or experimentally reported data, developing an understanding of the relationship between physical assumptions, numerical approximations, and predictive accuracy. The program is intended to provide research exposure in computational mechanics and prepare students for advanced study in fluid dynamics, numerical methods, and engineering simulation.
