About Internship

Researcher, Department of Biotechnology , from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (SRMIST Chennai), is accepting interns interested in the field of Biotechnology, in the research area of Computational Biology.

This internship focuses on exploring the vast, uncharted microbial diversity present in cold, deep-sea environments using cutting-edge environmental genomics techniques. Interns will engage in the collection, processing, and analysis of DNA sequencing data to identify and characterize microbial communities and their functions. The project aims to uncover how these microorganisms adapt to extreme conditions and contribute to biogeochemical cycles. Candidates will gain hands-on experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, and biological databases, leveraging metagenomic tools to interpret large-scale genomic datasets.
