About Internship

Professor from SGT University, Haryana, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Physical Chemistry .

This position addresses the environmental need for biodegradable alternatives to synthetic pesticides. The project focuses on the development of botanical pesticide formulations derived from plant-based bioactive compounds. By leveraging advanced analytical techniques and physical chemistry principles, the candidate will bridge the gap between traditional botanical knowledge and modern chemical standardization. The goal is to create stable, effective, and non-toxic formulations that reduce soil and water contamination while minimizing long-term health risks. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Identify and screen plant species with potential insecticidal properties for further chemical investigation. 2. Perform precise extractions of bioactive compounds using a variety of organic and green solvent systems. 3. Utilize high-end instrumentation, including GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS, to identify and quantify the chemical constituents of plant extracts. 4. Engineer environmentally friendly pesticide formulations, focusing on stability, solubility, and delivery mechanisms. 5. Conduct rigorous physical chemistry studies on developed formulations, measuring parameters such as pH, viscosity, surface tension, and shelf-life stability. 6. Evaluate the biodegradability and safety profiles of formulations to ensure they meet "Green Chemistry" standards.
