This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on field research experience in ecology, with a focus on understanding community interactions and environmental practices in the villages of Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh. Interns will be immersed in local settings, engaging directly with communities while collecting valuable ecological and social data. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Field Researcher: Conduct on-ground data collection through surveys, structured interviews, and ecological observations in the villages. Community Liaison: Establish trust and rapport with local communities, clearly explaining the research purpose to ensure ethical and collaborative participation. Data Management Assistant: Accurately record, organize, and maintain collected data, ensuring proper documentation and data integrity. Protocol Adherence: Follow established research ethics, including securing informed consent, respecting cultural sensitivities, and ensuring participant confidentiality.
