Assistant Professor, Department of Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics, Botany,Public Health, Zoology, from Rathinam college of arts and science, is accepting interns interested in the field of Biotechnology, in the research area of Bio-informatics.

The Drug Screening Internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in pharmaceutical and biomedical research, focusing on drug discovery and analysis. Interns will work within a dynamic laboratory environment, assisting in the development and implementation of screening assays to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacological properties of drug candidates. Key responsibilities include conducting preclinical drug screening using a variety of techniques such as biochemical assays, cell-based assays, and high-throughput screening methods. Interns will analyze experimental data, assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, and contribute to the optimization of protocols. Emphasis will be placed on learning analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectrophotometry, and molecular biology tools to identify potential drug interactions and therapeutic effects. Throughout the program, interns will collaborate closely with research scientists and gain exposure to the drug discovery pipeline, including target validation, lead identification, and toxicity assessment. This internship will enhance technical proficiency, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while providing valuable insight into industry-standard practices in drug development and screening. Ideal candidates are science-oriented individuals pursuing degrees in pharmacy, biology, chemistry, or related fields, with a strong interest in pharmacology or biomedical research. A foundational understanding of laboratory practices and analytical techniques is preferred.
