About Internship

Assistant professor from Yenepoya Institute of Technology, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering, in the research area of Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.

This internship is designed to provide students with foundational and hands-on exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) within the domain of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Interns will explore the core concepts behind foundation models, including model architectures, training paradigms, and real-world applications of LLMs across domains. During the internship, students will: 1. Study the fundamentals of foundation models and Large Language Model architectures (Transformers, attention mechanisms, tokenization). 2. Assist in data preprocessing, dataset curation, and prompt design for LLM-based tasks. 3. Experiment with pre-trained LLMs, fine-tuning techniques, and evaluation metrics. 4. Implement and test AI/ML algorithms using Python and popular ML frameworks. 5. Conduct literature reviews on recent advancements in LLM research and applications. 6. Document experiments, results, and insights through technical reports and presentations. 7. Collaborate with mentors on research-oriented or applied AI projects involving LLMs. By the end of the internship, students will gain: 1. A solid understanding of foundation LLM concepts and workflows. 2. Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks. 3. Practical skills in model experimentation, evaluation, and optimization. 4. Exposure to cutting-edge AI research and industry use cases. 5. Improved research, coding, and technical documentation skills relevant to AI careers.
