About Internship

Dean, Department of Chemistry, from St Berchmans College (Autonomous), is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Computational chemistry.

This internship offers hands-on experience in computational chemistry, focusing on problem-solving through advanced simulation techniques. Interns will: 1. Understand the assigned research problem and objectives in depth. 2. Perform computational chemistry simulations under expert supervision using DFT software platforms such as Gaussian, ORCA, or equivalent tools. 3. Analyze simulation outputs, interpret results, and contribute meaningfully to the research findings. 4. Participate in scientific writing and manuscript preparation, with the expectation of contributing to a publication-ready paper by the end of the internship. Eligibility & Skills Required: 1. Basic understanding of computational chemistry and DFT methods. 2. Prior experience with at least one computational platform (e.g., Gaussian, ORCA). 3. Strong scientific writing skills and an interest in academic publishing.
