Assistant Professor from KLE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY , is accepting candidates interested in the field of Civil Engineering, in the research area of Structural Engineering.
This research internship focuses on the numerical modeling and analysis of soil-structure interaction (SSI) under seismic loading using Abaqus. Interns will study the interaction between structural systems and the surrounding soil during earthquake events and investigate how soil properties and structural characteristics influence seismic response. The work will involve developing and analyzing finite element models in Abaqus, applying appropriate soil and structural parameters, simulating seismic loading conditions, and evaluating the resulting structural and soil responses. Interns will gain practical experience in structural engineering fundamentals, finite element modeling, seismic analysis, soil-structure interaction, and interpretation of simulation results, contributing to research related to the assessment and mitigation of earthquake-induced structural effects.
