Assistant Professor from Ashoka University, Sonipat, is accepting interns interested in the field of Chemistry, in the research area of Inorganic chemistry.
This internship focuses on the study of electrocatalysis for small-molecule activation—an important area in inorganic chemistry that supports advancements in clean energy, sustainable fuels, and environmental chemistry. Interns will work with inorganic compounds that help accelerate reactions involving key molecules. The internship provides foundational exposure to how electrocatalysts are designed, synthesized, and evaluated in laboratory settings. During the internship, students will: Synthesize inorganic compounds and catalytic materials used for small-molecule activation. Conduct electrochemical experiments to measure catalytic efficiency and reaction behaviour. Perform voltammetric and related electrochemical analyses to study catalyst performance. Record, interpret, and analyse experimental data to evaluate reaction pathways. Carry out a thorough literature review on recent advances in electrocatalysis. Work under faculty guidance to refine laboratory procedures and document findings. Participate in weekly discussions to review progress, troubleshoot experiments, and explore research papers. By the end of the internship, interns will gain: Hands-on laboratory experience in synthesizing and testing inorganic electrocatalysts. Practical knowledge of electrochemical techniques used in modern inorganic chemistry research. Strong understanding of small-molecule activation mechanisms and catalytic behaviour. Skills in data analysis, scientific documentation, and research interpretation. Exposure to emerging applications in clean energy, fuel cells, and catalytic materials.
