About Internship

Associate Professor , Department of English Literature, from Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology , is accepting interns interested in the field of English Literature, in the research area of Translation Studies.

This internship explores the autobiographical writings of women from diverse regional and linguistic backgrounds across India. The focus will be on studying and interpreting these autobiographies through the lens of gender, identity, culture, and language. Interns will engage with translated texts and, where applicable, contribute to the analysis and contextual expansion of regional narratives in English. Intern responsibilities include: 1. Reading and analyzing regional women’s autobiographies 2. Interpreting the cultural and historical context of the narratives 3. Comparing different translations, identifying shifts in meaning or tone 4. Assisting in drafting literary commentaries or reflective essays
