Assistant Professor from Anna University, Chennai, is accepting interns interested in the field of Computer Science Engineering, in the research area of Deep learning.

This internship offers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of deep learning and medical diagnosis, focusing on the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. Interns will utilize multimodal datasets, including ADNI data (neuroimaging, biomarkers, etc.) and speech samples from the DementiaBank corpus, to develop and evaluate models for disease prediction. The project involves implementing Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (GCNNs) and other deep learning architectures to analyse heterogeneous data sources, aiming to uncover patterns that support accurate and early diagnosis. Participants will gain hands-on experience in medical data preprocessing, model design, evaluation, and scientific reporting of research findings. Key Learning Areas: 1. Application of deep learning in medical imaging and clinical datasets 2. Use of GCNNs for multimodal data integration 3. Analysis of speech and language biomarkers for dementia detection 4. Data handling from ADNI and DementiaBank repositories 5. Research documentation and preparation of scientific manuscripts
