About Internship

Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology (Sp. in Environmental Biology), from CMP College, University of Allahabad, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Zoology, in the research area of Biodiversity & Taxonomy.

The selected interns will focus on applying diatom-based biomonitoring techniques to assess freshwater ecosystem health. Diatoms—microscopic, single-celled algae—are highly sensitive bioindicators due to their rapid response to environmental changes, short generation time, and specific tolerance to pollutants like nutrients (e.g., phosphorus, nitrogen) and heavy metals. Participants will gain hands-on experience in field sampling, laboratory analysis, and ecological data interpretation.
