Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology (Sp. in Environmental Biology), from CMP College, University of Allahabad, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Environmental Science, in the research area of Ecology.
The internship offers hands-on experience in ecological fieldwork and water quality assessment, with a focus on Himalayan spring ecosystems. Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, interns will assist in: 1. Supporting field sampling of diatom and macroinvertebrate communities. 2. Assisting in laboratory analysis and data processing of ecological, chemical, and physical parameters. 3. Helping document diatom diversity and assess their ecological responses to environmental drivers. 4. Contributing to the development of diatom-based indices for monitoring aquatic ecosystem health. 5. Participating in data interpretation, report writing, and preparation of research manuscripts. 6. Engaging in training sessions, workshops, and dissemination activities to both scientific and stakeholder communities.
