About Internship

Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, from GITAM Deemed to be University, is accepting interns interested in the field of Physics, in the research area of Photonics, Fiber Optics Sensors, Photon Based Quantum Technologies.

The selected candidates will contribute to a research project focused on detecting adulteration in food samples using advanced optical methods. The project involves working with fiber optic probes and near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to develop and test optical techniques for identifying contaminants or impurities in various food products. This internship provides hands-on experience at the intersection of photonics, sensor technology, and applied physics, with potential applications in food safety and quality control.
