Assistant Professor from Fatima Mata National College, Kerala, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Botany, in the research area of Plant Biology.
This internship focuses on the green synthesis of eco-friendly nanoparticles using coconut husk, an abundant and renewable plant-based waste material. Interns will explore how agricultural biomass can be transformed into valuable nanomaterials through sustainable, low-toxicity synthesis methods. The project investigates the biomedical potential of these nanoparticles, particularly their anti-cancer and antimicrobial properties. Interns will assist in laboratory procedures including nanoparticle synthesis, characterization, and bioactivity testing. They will also participate in literature review, data analysis, documentation, and interpretation of experimental results. Candidates with an interest in plant biology, biotechnology, chemistry or nanotechnology can apply.
