Assistant Professor, Department of English Literature, from Garden City University , is accepting interns interested in the field of English Literature, in the research area of Contemporary Literature.
This project explores the intricate relationship between memory and illness as portrayed in personal memoirs and narrative accounts. Illness memoirs, written by patients, caregivers, or medical practitioners, often serve as powerful testimonies of lived experiences. They do more than document medical facts—they reconstruct past experiences, frame present realities, and imagine future possibilities. Through this lens, the project seeks to understand how memory is shaped, reshaped, and often reconstituted in the face of illness and suffering.
