About Internship

Associate Professor, Department of Tamil language, from Holy cross college, is accepting interns interested in the field of Botany, in the research area of Plant Biology.

This internship explores the rich botanical references in ancient Tamil Sangam literature, focusing on the medicinal significance of flowers. Interns will collect and document flower names mentioned in Sangam texts, classify their varieties, and analyze their traditional medicinal applications. The project bridges classical Tamil literature with modern plant biology, offering valuable insights into ethnobotany and cultural heritage.
