Computational PhysicsAbout Internship
Associate Professor from North Dakota State University, United States, is accepting interns interested in the field of Physics, in the research area of Computational Physics .
This internship provides an opportunity for students to engage with ongoing research in the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) and its fundamental theoretical foundations. High school students, undergraduate, and graduate students with a strong interest in computational physics or related areas can apply. The goal of the internship is to introduce students to active research problems and foster collaborations that may lead to extended projects and joint publications. Current research focuses on understanding the fundamental underpinnings of LBM, particularly by mapping Molecular Dynamics (MD) and other microscopic approaches onto coarse-grained lattice gas and lattice Boltzmann frameworks. This line of work provides an alternative perspective to the traditional approach of connecting LBM to macroscopic hydrodynamic equations, offering deeper insights into its physical basis.
