Associate Professor, Department of Management, from Invertis University, Bareilly, is accepting interns interested in the field of Sustainability, in the research area of Ecological & Societal Sustainability.

This proposed study aims to explore the convoluted relationship between ecological and societal sustainability in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, a country characterized by rapid economic development, environmental challenges, and socio-economic disparities. It seeks to identify and evaluate policy and governance frameworks, examine the current state of ecological and societal sustainability in India, and explore the challenges, opportunities, and actionable strategies to achieve a balance between preserving natural ecosystems and promoting societal well-being. Methodology: This proposed project will employ a multidisciplinary approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The whole study will utilize and review the secondary data from government reports, policy documents, and academic studies. All primary data will be collected through stakeholder interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions. Previous case studies of successful initiatives in areas such as renewable energy adoption, sustainable agriculture, and community-driven conservation efforts will serve as reference points while making the cost-benefit analysis of the proposed project. Spatial analysis also will be done with the help of Geographic Information System (GIS) tools to map ecological hotspots and analyze resource distribution in relation to societal needs in the initial phase of developing the plan for proposed study. Interns are supposed to well versed in handling interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions.
