About Internship

Associate Professor from S. V. National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Electrical Engineering, in the research area of Signals and Systems.

This internship offers students an opportunity to work in the cutting-edge field of satellite navigation security, focusing on detecting spoofing signals within Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). GNSS spoofing poses a critical threat to navigation, communication, defense, aviation, and autonomous systems, making this research area highly relevant in modern engineering. Interns will explore how spoofing attacks manipulate satellite signals and learn how advanced algorithms can identify and mitigate these threats. During the internship, interns will: 1. Contribute to the research and development of algorithms designed to detect GNSS spoofing attacks. 2. Work with GNSS signal datasets to understand signal characteristics, anomalies, and spoofing patterns. 3. Assist in testing and validating algorithm performance under simulated and real-world scenarios. 4. Participate in documentation and report preparation, summarizing experimental findings and observations. 5. Support administrative and organizational tasks related to project coordination, weekly meetings, and data management. 6. Collaborate with the supervising professor to refine models, troubleshoot issues, and interpret results. By the end of the internship, students will gain: 1. A strong foundation in GNSS technology, signal processing concepts, and modern navigation security challenges. 2. Hands-on experience in algorithm development, testing workflows, validation techniques, and structured research practices. 3. Improved skills in technical writing, documentation, and scientific analysis. 4. Exposure to one of the most in-demand areas in electrical, aerospace, and defense engineering.
