Internship on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) Roles and Responsibilities An AI & ML Intern is expected to learn, design, develop, and implement Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions under the guidance of faculty members or industry mentors. 1. Data Collection and Preparation Collect relevant datasets from authorized sources. Clean, preprocess, and organize data for analysis. Handle missing values, duplicate records, and outliers. Perform data transformation and feature engineering. 2. Machine Learning Model Development Develop Machine Learning models for classification, regression, clustering, and prediction. Implement algorithms using Python and relevant libraries. Train, test, and validate ML models. Compare the performance of different algorithms. 3. Deep Learning and AI Applications Develop basic Deep Learning models using TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch. Work on AI applications such as: Computer Vision Natural Language Processing (NLP) Predictive Analytics Recommendation Systems Generative AI 4. Programming and Tools Use Python for AI and ML development. Work with libraries such as: NumPy Pandas Scikit-learn Matplotlib TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch 5. Model Evaluation Evaluate models using appropriate performance metrics. Analyze: Accuracy Precision Recall F1-Score ROC-AUC Mean Squared Error (where applicable) Improve model performance through optimization and tuning. 6. Project Development Participate in the development of an end-to-end AI/ML project. Identify a real-world problem and propose an AI-based solution. Develop a prototype or working model. Document the methodology, implementation, and results. 7. Research and Innovation Review recent research papers and emerging AI technologies. Explore new algorithms and AI tools. Identify potential applications of AI and ML in industry
