Course Coordinator ( Former ) from Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Chennai, is accepting candidates interested in the field of Environmental Science, in the research area of Atmospheric and Oceanic science.

Candidates will conduct literature reviews and research on mangrove ecosystems, shoreline conservation, mangrove cultivation on floating beds, and their potential contribution to the Blue Economy. They will study the ecological and economic benefits of mangroves, including coastal protection, carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Candidates will analyze relevant research papers, scientific publications, and case studies to understand existing mangrove restoration practices and emerging approaches to coastal management. They will also examine the challenges, opportunities, and sustainability aspects of mangrove-based shoreline management and floating-bed systems. Under faculty guidance, candidates will organize, interpret, and critically evaluate research findings, identify potential areas for further investigation, and explore how mangrove conservation can support sustainable development and Blue Economy initiatives. Candidates will contribute to preparing research reports, presentations, literature summaries, and academic documentation based on their findings.
