Environmental HydrologyAbout Internship
Course Coordinator ( Former ), Department of School of Maritime Studies , from Vels University, Chennai , is accepting interns interested in the field of Environmental Science, in the research area of Environmental Hydrology.
The internship will involve the study of the seismic region, specifically the region where the subsoil behaves like a sponge, capable of absorbing shocks and tremors. If there are no water-rich or biodiversity-rich areas, there is a high risk risk of collapse of high-rise buildings upon earthquakes and other seismic disasters. If the sponge is intact, then the damage effect on the ground is minimized and not all earthquakes will have a significant impact. The region will be safe. This aspect will be researched in detail in our studies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be planned out. The major responsibility of the selected interns will be to be involved in abstract writing, paper presentations for technology-related topics, and literature review.
