About Internship

Professor , Department of Aerospace engineering , from Jain University, Bangalore, is accepting interns interested in the field of Aircraft Structures, Advanced FEA, Optimization in Structural Design, Composite Structures, Structural Dynamics, Buckling studies, in the research area of Nonlinear Methods, AI&ML, Computational Mechanics, Continuum Mechanics.

This internship provides in-depth exposure to the analysis of bolted joints, combining classical hand calculations with advanced computational techniques. The project emphasizes both theoretical and practical approaches to structural analysis, enabling interns to develop strong foundations in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), structural optimization, and computational mechanics. Key Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Conduct a comprehensive literature review on bolted joint analysis and related structural mechanics concepts. 2. Perform hand calculations to establish baseline solutions for bolted joint strength and behavior. 3. Apply different Finite Element Modeling (FEM) techniques to analyze bolted joints under various loading and boundary conditions. 4. Compare FEM results with hand calculations to validate accuracy and assess modeling approaches. 5. Prepare a detailed internship report documenting methodology, findings, and insights.
