Professor from University of Jammu, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Economics, in the research area of Development Economics.

Selected interns will engage in research projects at the intersection of climate policy, development economics, and sustainability. Over the 6-month internship period—extendable up to 12 months based on performance and project needs—interns will work on collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets related to carbon markets, emission trajectories, climate finance, and sustainability indicators. They will also assist in developing economic models that evaluate the effectiveness of carbon pricing mechanisms, net-zero strategies, and climate-related development pathways. During the internship, students will gain hands-on experience with data-driven economic research, exposure to environmental policy frameworks, and an in-depth understanding of how carbon markets function globally and within developing economies. They will learn to interpret climate data, support modelling exercises, and contribute to evidence-based policy recommendations. The internship will strengthen their quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and understanding of sustainability economics. This opportunity is well-suited for students from Economics, Environmental Studies, Sustainability Studies, Public Policy, Statistics, Data Science, and related social science or quantitative disciplines.
