About Internship

Assistant Professor from JSPM University, India, is accepting interns interested in the field of Economics, in the research area of Econometrics.

This internship is designed to provide interns with rigorous training and hands-on experience in econometrics and applied economic research. Econometrics plays a crucial role in modern economics by combining economic theory, mathematics, and statistical methods to analyze real-world data and inform policy, finance, and business decisions. Through this internship, interns will engage with data-driven research problems across multiple domains, gaining exposure to both classical econometric techniques and emerging approaches that integrate machine learning. During the internship, interns will work in one or more of the following research areas, depending on their interests and background: 1. Applied Econometrics 2. Financial and Monetary Econometrics 3. Macroeconomic Modeling 4. Econometrics and Machine Learning 5. Environmental and Energy Econometrics 6. Behavioral and Experimental Econometrics Interns will be involved in activities such as: 1. Working with real-world economic, financial, environmental, or behavioral datasets. 2. Applying econometric models for estimation, hypothesis testing, and policy evaluation. 3. Using analytical tools such as R, Python, or Stata for data analysis and modeling. 4. Creating data visualizations and structured reports to communicate empirical findings. 5. Assisting in drafting research papers, technical notes, or project reports under guidance. 6. Participating in regular discussions and review meetings with mentors to refine analysis and interpretation. By the end of the internship, interns will gain: 1. Strong practical exposure to econometric modeling, statistical inference, and applied research workflows. 2. Hands-on experience using industry- and academia-standard analytical tools such as R, Python, Stata, and EViews. 3. Improved skills in research writing, documentation, and data-driven storytelling. 4. Mentorship from experienced researchers and guidance on conducting high-quality empirical research. 5. Opportunities to contribute to research publications or structured project reports, subject to performance and project outcomes.
