The Research Intern – Accelerating Deep Learning Model Compression position offers an opportunity to contribute to research on reducing the computational effort and time required for compressing deep learning models, with a primary focus on pruning techniques. The internship aims to explore efficient strategies for making deep learning models smaller, faster, and more suitable for deployment on resource-constrained devices. Interns will conduct a structured review of existing research literature on model compression, pruning, sparsity, and acceleration methods; analyze the strengths and limitations of current approaches; and implement selected techniques using deep learning frameworks. The role also involves experimenting with new ideas and optimization strategies for accelerating model compression, evaluating their impact on model size, inference speed, accuracy, and computational efficiency, and documenting research findings through technical reports and research-oriented presentations. This internship is ideal for students interested in deep learning, neural network optimization, model pruning, efficient AI, and research-driven experimentation.
